The concept
What happens when you combine home-renovation television, fraternity culture, and the competitive chaos of a college game show? Frat House Fixers, an original unscripted-TV concept I helped creatively develop, package, and pitch through Trojan Vision, under the guidance of professors Aaron Kaplan and Adam Everist.
The show pits two fraternity houses against each other in a series of ridiculous campus-inspired challenges. The winning house receives a full room makeover, though the finale flashes forward to reveal the newly renovated space has already been destroyed again.
Designing the chaos
Our team developed the concept into a complete television format: story arc, visual identity, recurring segments, production requirements, and comedic tone, from the cold open and contestant introductions to confessionals, animated scoreboards, camera coverage, and the final comedic payoff. Three signature challenges anchor each episode:
Red Cup Rizz
Contestants race through a cup-covered house to complete pickup lines; unsuccessful attempts end in a splash of water.
It’s Not That Easy, Bro
Brothers identify makeup products before attempting a full makeover on one of their teammates.
Jungle Juice: Blender Showdown
Teams complete mini-games to choose increasingly questionable ingredients for their opponents’ final concoction.
From concept to pitch room
We transformed the idea into a professional entertainment package: a pitch deck, a leave-behind deck, a master pitch script, and a sizzle reel, each customized for the executives in the room and built to communicate the premise, repeatable format, audience, and creative potential.
The project was pitched to executives at The CW, FOX, and ABC. I personally represented the team during the CW and FOX pitches, adapting the delivery for each meeting while keeping the core creative vision intact.
Recognition
For my work in the class, I was selected as its nominee for Most Outstanding Student at the Trojan Vision Awards.
